BEST PERFORMER | BEST DESIGN | RADICAL SPIRIT OF THE FRINGE
In this visceral, genre-smashing collision of bold storytelling and exhilarating choreography, Terndrup exhumes the bones of Mary Shelley’s horror classic, reanimating them into a fiercely modern meditation on creation, control, and consequence.
Part gothic horror, part personal confession. Inside this pulse-pounding performance is an artist in her mid-to-late 30s grappling with her conflicting desires — and fears — as she contemplates the closing window to biological creation. As she plunges into the chaos, the beauty, and the terror of creation, the show begins to mirror the very monster it interrogates: alive with contradictions, totally unpredictable, and profoundly human.
